Vacation

I'm leaving for Connecticut tomorrow. Hooray! I get to visit my cousins, the Nesi family. They have a beautiful house on the beach. I may even get to go into New York City. But about today, all I did was shop with my mom. I also set up a bank account at Chase because that's the only bank near OU. And I went to a new eye doctor. My vision has gotten slightly worse, sad face, but I'm getting new glasses since my old ones broke. That's pretty much it for today. I have to go pack. I'll try and borrow my cousin's computer so I can keep whatever readers I have updated.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I have barely been home today. I woke up at a quarter to ten to go to Justin's Unitarian Church with him and Simone. It was a nice service and the snacks afterward were especially healthy this time. Last time they were all baked goods. Then I watched something from Diablo III which looks awesome. Then I went to Ana's graduation party at Squire's Castle with Justin. I ate some food and then went on a super short walk through the woods with Justin, Theresa, Julie, and Amanda, but I couldn't see the forest for the trees. Then Justin dropped me off at home and I spent a short time on the computer before going to Tom's for a meeting, which we did not play D&D at. But Peter, who hasn't come for a few years (due to his girlfriend, now fiance, who has him completely whipped), finally came and beat me again at Settlers of Catan, which I still have not won at. Then I came home and starting writing. Oh, and the reason there is no entry for yesterday is because I did absolutely nothing but spend uninteresting time with family. No offense to them, but there was nothing noteworthy.

Darn Library!

What a day. I woke up at 11:00 at Justin's house, ate a donut, and left with Jared at noon. I got home and went online to make sure my library item had come in. Well it did, so I decided I would hitch a ride with my brother on his way to work. So until 4:00, when my brother was leaving, I just wasted time on the computer and watched some Mission Hill. Then I got to the library, handed in my application, looked for my friend Zach who works there, told him to put in a good word for me, picked out some books, went to the checkout, and was stuck with a lady who was unable to find my movie Driving Lessons on the shelf. UUURRRGGGHHH! So I went home and made pasta with Alfredo sauce and watched my recording of Infomania, a sarcastic and satirical news show on Current TV, channel 196 as their commercials constantly remind me. It's a pretty good channel. It's mostly pods made by everyday people about news worthy things. And they also have viewer created ads for all sorts of products. Those are okay. They're not the best quality, but they're creative. A digression to what I said in my previous post for a moment. I wonder why people are sometimes severely affected by the death of a person they did not know at all. For example, a friend of mine was deeply saddened by the death of George Carlin, a genius comedian. She didn't know him personally, she just knew of him. They were never friends. They were never close. Yet, she was still so affected. A quandary.

The Sleep of Death, and Other Stories

I had an interesting day. First I had a funeral to attend. I don't really like funerals. I find them odd and somewhat pointless. I feel like they force people to come to terms with someone's death and finishing mourning so they can get on with their life. And I don't understand why people mourn deaths. Death is the completion of life. I'm pretty sure that's it, even though that freaks me out. I was raised Catholic, but I've kind of become Existentialist/Deist. Then I finished watching what's left of the second season of Code Geass. Then I was invited to Justin's house for a party, which was kind of dying when I got there, but now I'm sleeping over, so that is why I'm writing this today and not yesterday. I don't know. Today/yesterday was just a contemplation day. I thought about things. How pensive.

Almost Forgot

Today was, sorry, yet another normal day. I woke up to watch my sisters again until my stepdad decides he's going to come home. But I was able to escape early in order to go to Tom's house for a meeting. Unfortunately he still didn't have anything planned, I'm crossing my fingers for Sunday, so we just played mini games. Tom beat me in Starship Catan, similar to my all time favorite game Settlers of Catan, Alex (a super nerd hippie) brought my favorite food in the world, POCKY!!, and Joe brought his Wii, so we played Super Smash Brothers Brawl until 4:00. Then I came home, continued my illegal viewing of Code Geass R2, and was stumped by Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which Steve is kindly letting me borrow seeing as I did not have an N64 so I could not play this installment in the Legend of Zelda series. Now I'm finishing watching the first season of 30 Rock which I will return to the library along with my application. I really hope I get it or a job as someone's executive assistant. Pray for, burn sage for, or sacrifice an animal to your pagan god for me. Cheers!

Cheating the System

Today was pretty normal until four when I went to help my friend Steve get a video game. Apparently they are cracking down on kids buying games that are too mature for their age level. They asked Steve for ID when he was going to buy the Godfather video game, so he was unable to get it because it's rated Mature. So Steve called me, I agreed to buy it for him (with his money of course, and off we went. After buying the game, I stopped at Mrs. Field's for a victory cookie. I took advantage of their Buy 3, Get One Free deal and bought two semi-sweet chocolate chip and two chewy fudge. I gave a chewy fudge to Steve, and gladly ate the rest. Mmmmmmm. Oh, and on the way to Richmond mall Tom called me for a meeting tomorrow. I'm so excited. I hope it is the climatic conclusion to our campaign.

Ugh

Today was another okay day. I woke pretty early today so I could get an application from the library. I also paid off my $13.30 in fines, rented three movies, and enjoyed a quiet walk home. Then I just sat on the computer and watched Code Geass episodes on ifyouwas.com. I was surprised by the Japanese voices because they were pretty close to the American voices I had gotten used to. Usually I like the Japanese voices bettter than the American, so I end up watching anime in Japanese with English subtitles. The only exception I have found is Fullmetal Alchemist, the best anime ever. I hated the Japanese voices. The American voices were so much better. Ed and Al actually sounded like boys. Anyways, I just got Virtual Villagers. Yippie! It is a really fun sim game from Last Day At Work that you buy online. Eventually we'll just start buying video games online and game consoles will become obsolete, they'll just start mass selling computers made specifically for video games. I would have gone to the movies, but my friend David was still stuck in Maryland and Simone was babysitting. Sad face.

Meh

I didn't really do much today. I was really comfortable in my bed, so I just laid there until one. Then I played some video games and went on the computer. Then I went to Tom's house and played mini games since he didn't have any time to write more for D&D. I, once again, almost won at my favourite game Settlers of Catan. Just a side note, I hate how Firefox tells me that the way I spell colour and favourite is wrong. I'm sorry if I'm a little different. At least it can't correct me on the way I say either, neither, and apricot (i-thur, ni-thur, and ape-ri-cot respectively).

Busy Saturday

Today was a busy day. I woke up kind of late though. I woke up at noon and helped pack for a family reunion picnic. Then I left with my stepdad and directed him to the yacht club that the reunion was at. We got there uneventfully, but there was all this construction in Mentor that we had to drive through. We had to ride this little boat called the scooter to get to the picnic area. The picnic was kind of fun. It was really nice outside so that helped things. Then my cousin Danny came which was awesome because he lives all the way in Columbus. His parents, my Aunt Terry and Uncle Lou, came from Arizona to visit so that's why we were having the picnic in the first place. My cousin Chrissy was there too. She's one of my favorite cousins. She's really funny. I had an awesome conversation with Danny's wife Crystal about Bonnaroo. But then it started to get really cloudy, so we packed up (plus a lot of people were leaving to go to other commitments). Then I had to drive to Strawberry Lane to try and make it to my friend Erin's graduation party, but everyone was leaving when I was on my way, but I was able to make my friend Ben wait so I could get a ride with him to my friend Jared's graduation party. That was an interesting drive. We almost got lost, but thanks to my constant determination to find an alternate route, we got there with little problem. Jared's party was awesome. There was so much good food and great dessert. Plus we had a giant squirt gun battle of guys versus girls. It was awesome, but a little unorganized and crazy. Then I came home and found out that Cartoon Network has been showing one of my favorite shows every Saturday at 10:30 pm, Samurai Jack. Thank God for DVR cause now I don't have to worry about forgetting that it's on. I just heard something that sounded like a gun shot, so I'm going to stop here for today.

Best Week Ever

Okay, it's not really the best week ever for me, especially since I barely did anything. But the reason I titled this post Best Week Ever is because, as I try to do every Friday at 11:30 pm Eastern Standard Time, I just finished watching this week's episode. The best thing is that I was thinking, "Are they going to mention Kanye's Bonnaroo spectacular?" sarcastically, and then one of the first couple of things mentioned was it. They titled it Bonnaroode and made fun of Kanye and his divaness. The best part was during the Sizzler Chuck Nice walked on with some shutter shades, which I find to be the stupidest fashion craze ever, and was pelted with glowsticks, JUST LIKE KANYE! The sad thing is, I'm not so sure Kanye deserves all this bad publicity. I was there and I'm pretty sure it wasn't his fault. I was watching his stupid giant screen being tested by the technical people, and it seemed like they were still having trouble at 4:00 am. Thankfully, everything was resovled promptly at 4:40 am and I got a good kick out of watching Kanye lose his mind and pretend he was an astronaut/space explorer with a talking ship. Oh Kanye, you crazy.

Woops!

Totally forgot to post something yesterday. Just a few days in, and I'm already falling behind. Well, yesterday I went to my friend Tom's house for a action packed D&D game. It was intense. the encounter started with my party at the entrance to some important mountain on a mysterious island that Rachel's character comes from. Before we do anything, Steve notices one of my favorite NPCs, Sara. Steve, being his normal jerk self, threw a rock at her. Luckily she was no longer pregnant. We found out she was pregnant with my character's, Aileen, brother's love child. Then the nyth, these floating, buzzing balls of energy that fire magic missiles and multiply if they absorb enough fire damage. We defeated them and then entered the mountain. We came into a long hallway filled with dead soldiers of the Planar Alliance (the previous good guys). Then Steve, once again, does something stupid and upon finding an odd ball on a spring, sets off the trap reviving all the dead soldiers. That wasn't fun dealing with.

After we re-killed all the soldiers, we continued further into the dungeon, where we came across a molten lake. In the center was a unstable lava rock formation that we could use to get to the opening on the other side. Steve went first, almost tripping and falling into the lava but was saved by Joe the bard who cast feather fall on him, got past the elder fire elementals, but was attacked by the invisible spear men. My friends tried to Dimension Door over to where Steve was to help him, but the spell fizzled as there was a Dimensional Anchor spell in place. But luckily, my monk Aileen has the move Abundant Step which is a supernatural ability which behaves like Dimension Door, but cannot be stopped by Dimensional Anchor. So through clever wording, I transported myself and some of my party members over to aid Steve. We eventually defeated the enemies and continued down the hall into a forge. It was filled with weapons, and a strangely glowing anvil. When we approached the anvil a ghost arose out of it. It turned out to be Rachel's character's, Dark, creator (shes the D&D equivalent of a robot). He upgraded some of our stuff from beyond the grave and unlocked the full powers of Shallus Dei, this creepy deformed girl we found a long time ago who embodies the power of chaos and turns out is the heir of Nom (the island we were on). Then he made Steve a key to Steve's father's castle, which is inhabited by Nightwalkers and controlled by Sarim - a paladin from my character's backstory who supposedly died but then we saw alive, and has the artifact of chaos.

After a short Christmas, we continued deeper into the mountain and came to the epic battle. Archer (Aileen's, my character, brother) and his opportunist companion Drak were fighting Shiz the people eating archon (angel), Tommy the giant undead thing that has a huge mouth, and Sarim the supposed paladin who doesn't seem to be working for good anymore. On top of that was Daragon, an elder red dragon from the previous campaign that knew Aileen's and Archer's father (my character Fade from Tom's previous campaign). The non-dragon parties were fighting each other in order to stop the other from getting the object Daragon was protecting in his claw. My party quickly joined my brother's side, even though he was working against us earlier in the campaign, and through a long action packed battle, were able to take down Shiz and Tommy (the dragon finished him even though I did all the damage). Sarim got away and Shallus Dei followed, and angry at her escape, Daragon massively damaged everyone left in the room. In his anger, Daragon killed Sara which made both my character and her brother extremely upset. Aileen was brought to tears, but Archer, being a high powered mage, used a wish spell to collapse the mountain on top of him and Daragon. So at the end I lost both my brother and future sister-in-law.

I returned home after a sad D&D meeting, to in turn write a meeting for my other group which I DM for. I wrote until Kenny came to pick me up, but then had to wait with Kenny until my stepdad came back. Then we played at Justin's house where I taunted Simone, Jared, Ben, and Justin with clever puzzles that took them a while to get. We ate pizza that took an hour and a half to get there and then concluded the meeting. That was my D&D filled Thursday.

Boring Day

I had a pretty boring day today. I woke up at three, Jesus! Then I just played some Final Fantasy XII. After that I went downstairs and I've been on the computer the whole time. I downloaded the SPORE creature creator trial, but my graphics card isn't supported so I had to uninstall it right after I already installed it. This blog might not get very far, and with my life it will probably be really boring, but I'll try and spice up tomorrow's post.

My first post

I just created this blog. I'm not sure what it's going to be like and how well I will keep it up, but I'll try my best to make it awesome.
